St. Aidan's vs. Good Counsel
Yesterday was a truly historic day for St. Aidan's. With our U/16's plagued with injury, those that were fully fit rose up in the face of adversity, to beat a much fancied Good Counsel team.
Interestingly, the Good Counsel team had not been beaten in three years. However that record was ended by the discipline, passion and commitment of our U/16's. They trailed behind Good Counsel for the majority of the game, but they never lost focus.
In the closing minutes of the game, we came from three points down to clinch the match in a nail-biting finish. All of our players had outstanding matches and they were all "men of the match".
We look forward to playing St. Mel's, Longford, in what is set to be a mouth-watering final.
