TABLE TENNIS - LEINSTER CHAMPIONS (Mar '05)
Our U18 Table Tennis team completed the league and cup double this week. In the league
play-off St. Aidan's defeated Newbridge College and now advance to the All-Ireland semi-finals
in April. In the Cup semi-finals, they defeated the same opposition and then completed a
comprehensive victory over Marian College in the final. Coach Michael McCafferty can be proud
of his stars: Stephen Keenan, Daniel Keenan, Kevin O'Cregan and Ross Walsh. Is there an
All-Ireland in this team. Unfortunately the U15 team was not successful in collecting any
silverware, but had a great season nonetheless.
