SWIMMING - HOME NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIPS (Sept '10)

Congratulations to Conor Turner who won the U17 1500m Freestyle title at the UK Schools Championships
in Sunderland on Saturday. Representing St. Aidan's and wearing the Irish colours, Conor finished over
a second ahead of his nearest competitor in a remarkable time of 16:10.24 to smash the existing record
by over 10 seconds. The previous record had stood for over 40 years and Conor followed this achievement
with a Bronze medal for 3rd place in the 400m Freestyle on Sunday. Truely an amazing prospect
for the future... watch this space!
