Gaelic Football

The St. Aidan’s Gaelic football teams have once again started off the year extremely well. The Under 14’shave reached the Dublin ‘A’ Semi-Final recording 3emphatic victories along the way. They have played fantastic football scoring a total of 9-31 in 3 games, while showing great skill, pride, grit and determination. This is a team that can go all the way and establish themselves as a serious force to be reckoned with in Dublin schools GAA. The Under 16’s have started off this years campaign with an impressive victory away to St. David’s. Theteam displayed a great team spirit and won by 8 points.

A couple more performances like that would spell success for St. Aidan’s once again. The Senior footballers have begun training recently fortheir championship and great things is expected ofthem this year. They are a very motivated bunch ofplayers who have the skills and the mindset to go all the way. The 1st year football championship will begin after Christmas and in first year this year there is a talented group of players waiting patiently for a crack at the title.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Seán Kenna (6West) who recently finished 3rd in the Annual Liffey Swim. Seán recently picked up his first cap for the Irish SeniorWater Polo Team and he is also the captain of the schools SeniorWater Polo team.And to cap a wonderful few months Seán was awarded Evening Herald "Sportstar of the Week" and will be honoured at a lavish ceremony in Croke Park next May.
