ReadaThon!!Congratulations to all the First and Second Year students who participated in the Readathon. This nationwide charity event encourages young people to read while raising much needed funds for people living with MS. All the children who participated received a thank you gift and a certificate. The school is permitted to keep 10% of the funds raised. We will use this money to, buy new books for the library. Our boys have collected €1,285. Alan Murphy deserves special praise as he raised €150. None of this would be possible without the support of the fantastic parents who checked the reading project sheets each week and encouraged their sons to discuss their books. We estimate that the 85 boys who participated in the ReadaThon read over 500 books in the last six weeks. Their English teacher, Ms. Dunne, is very proud of them. Though the ReadaThon is officially over, the reading project will continue for the rest of the year. ![]() | ||
