The runners from St. Aidan’s have been training very hard since school resumed.
The first year race enabled us to put together a strong under 14 team and they
went on to win silver in the All-Ireland C.B.S. cross-country championships.
Athletes like Sean Kerins, Josh O’ Hanlon and John Graham have shown great form
and will hopefully keep the fine tradition alive in the school for years to come.
The unbeaten under 15’s have been unstoppable and they are firmly focused on
winning the All-Ireland title next March. Leinster champion Conor Turner has been
just awesome and remains unbeaten. Our under 17’s have been running well |
and although the team has been depleted they have been punching above
their belt. Although the Seniors have been riddled with injuries they still remain
unbeaten and they to will be hoping to retain the prestigious All-Ireland title in
Belfast next March. Massive improvements in performances from Jordan Logue and Mark
McKenzie will buttress this effort. Well done to the schools athletes that won the
All-Ireland club title with Clonliffe Harriers in Cavan recently.
