A Christmas Message

The Christmas message inspires all Christians to extend their hand to those in need. I wish to thank all those students who have contributed to any charitable cause. A special word of thanks to many students and teachers who helped organise activities such as a twelve hour fast, collection in a local shopping centre, mini company projects, a table quiz, food collections etc. Their good work will help the poor and needy in our society in a significant way and will bring a ray of hope into their lives. It will also inspire others to follow their good example.

I wish to extend a very happy, holy and peaceful Christmas to all parents, staff and students in our school community.

Nativity

It’s early December and St. Aidan’s school community is getting ready..... Seán puts the crib together, Catherine returns to decorate the tree.

The work is done with meticulous care, each figure is angled and positioned for perfection; the fairy lights sparkle in symmetry on the Christmas tree.

The excitement is palpable among the students. These activities mark the beginning.....

Everyone understands the meaning of the Nativity and Christmas. It is a simple story of exclusion and inclusion. Christmas is a time of giving and receiving, loving and sharing.

Remember the less fortunate people. They may not have the same experience that you will enjoy this Christmas.

A Happy Christmas to everyone.

Vice-Principal

Merry Christmas

Leaving Certificate Results Success

Well done to all the St. Aidan’s pupils that picked up their results in August. The vast majority of the students were pleased with what they had achieved. The highest grades were achieved by Kevin Reilly who achieved 585 points, closely followed by Martin Quilty. Most of the students accepted offers from universities and colleges, with some going on to take up trades. Congratulations to those students that were offered sports/academic scholarships. Good luck to all the past pupils. We wish you all the best with your careers and if you ever need us you know where we are.
