Hurling

Our U16 team competed in the 'A' division and had mixed fortunes. We beat St. David's and suffered two defeats by St. Declan's and Colaiste Eoin (who, subsequently, went on to win the division). Our star performers were Andy Flaherty, Martin Quilty and Paul Mac Reamoinn.

Our UI6 team will start their campaign in March and we wish them the best of luck. Our senior team have reached the final of their competition where they will play Beneavin.

All our hurlers would like to say a special thanks to Mr. Sean Moore who has given huge time and commitment.

Gaelic Football

The first year lunchtime competition was won by 'Meath' who defeated 'Dublin' in the final. The winning team members were Peter Ashton, Owen Fitzgerald, Sean Gilshinan, Martin Hunt, John Kelly, Jordan Logue, Graham Mahon,Thomas McCarrick and Eoghan Phelan. Many thanks to Mr. D. McCague who organised and ran such a successful competition. Our U14 team got knocked out of their competition at quarter finals stage. Our seniors suffered a similar fate after under-performing against St. Fintan's.

The good news and all our hopes lie with the U16 team who topped their qualification group and have reached the semi-finals. A huge thanks again to managers and mentors - namely Br. Caulfield, Br. Duffy, Mr. McCafferty, Mr. Coffey, Mr. Lynch and Mr.A O'Neill.

U16 Footballers

StAidan's Under 16 Team - the current Dublin 'A'champions are also through to the under 16 semi-final again this year.

A Remarkable Achievement

Shane Pagan (6 South) successfully defended his UI6 Dublin Championship in Irish Dancing two weeks ago. He took time out of his busy schedule of performances around Dublin to compete. He was Leinster champion in 2000 and Irish champion in 2002 and hopes to repeat these achievements early in the New Year. Shane has represented Ireland in festivals in France, Holland and Austria in the past and hopes to take part in a major festival in America in Summer 2005. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.

Be Safe This Christmas

We ask all students to take special care this Christmas.

Please look after yourselves on the roads - be visible with your reflector belts and have a safe and happy Xmas.
