Leaving Cert. Class '03 Excels

Congratulations to our Leaving Cert class of '03. Their results were fantastic and Saint Aidan's takes great pride in this success. We had some notable individual successes, with 8 of our students scoring 500 points or more. These results were the best overall results for the last ten years. Three fo our students who have scored more thatn 545 points in their Leaving-Cert, which, again, is a great achievement for our school, and we have a record number of students entering D.C.U., our next-door neighbour!

Our L.C.A. group received special commendation for their outstanding results. 80% of our LCA students got over 75% in their exams. We feel that our students really fulfilled their academic potential and we also commend them for their tremendous social, cultural and charitable achievements. One noteworthy aspect of our '03 results was the positive impact of Transition Year on performance. The students certainly benefited from this extra senior year.

Saint Aidan's has now introduced an LCVP programme, which gives our students the full range of Leaving Certificate courses. We hope that the class of '03 will encourage and inspire all our present students, and again we congratulate them, their famililes and teachers on their remarkable success.
