St. Aidan's gets its second Green Flag

On Monday the 31st of January, Claire Egan from Dublin City Council came out to the school to carry out an inspection in relation to our maintenance of litter and recycling in the school. She met with the committee and the pupils from Transition year who carry out the recycling every week. She was very impressed with how we have maintained our Green Flag status and as a result we were awarded our second Green Flag on Tuesday the 26th of February in the AnTaisce offices. At that ceremony we were the one of two Second level Schools receiving the award. Congratulations to the committee members for all their hard work and effort, to the Transition Year pupils who are meticulous about maintaining the recycling and to the caretaker Scan Moore who is ever supportive.

Ms. M. Ruane.
