Aidan's Boys Invade Paris

We walked through Disney Village and dined at'King Ludwig's Castle'. We also celebrated the birthdays of a few of our classmates. That night at the hotel we enjoyed a quiz.

We boarded the bus early the next morning and we were transported to the Arc de Triomphe. Afterwards, we spent 2 hours shopping along the Champs Elysee. We then climbed the bus and headed for Charleroi where we caught the 8.20p.m. flight home. Overall, I think it was a wonderful trip. We experienced French culture, we had time for recreation, and we also made new friends along the way.

Ronan Noonan

Our trip started with an early flight on Friday morning, March 16th. We arrived in Charleroi at 9 a.m. and we set off immediately for Paris. We hopped off the bus at Montmatre and headed towards the magnificent Sacre Coeur. We had lunch and a rest before heading towards the Eiffel Tower where we enjoyed the view from the top of this engineering masterpiece. We were then whisked to a restaurant called 'Flunch' where we tucked into some French cuisine. We then headed to the 'Hotel Villejiuf where we collapsed into bed.

We arose early on St. Patrick's morning and we tucked into a typical French breakfast, which consisted of hot chocolate, a piece of bread and a croissant! After this we went on a guided tour of the city. Following this we entered the Lourve, one of the longest buidings in the world. We paid 'Nona' a visit and we marvelled at the elegance of the Venus de Milo. After sampling the delights of the Lourve, it was time to do some shopping in 'Les Halles'. Now it was time to

soak our weary legs in 'Aquaboulavard', a large water park just outside the city centre. A game of water polo was organised and Mr. Carmody felt got a bit of rough time from All-Ireland water polo star, Sean Byrne!

The next day our excitement was at an all time high as we headed for 'Eurodisney', where we found out that Mr. O'Neill was afraid of theme parks after an incident on 'Ali Baba's flying carpet' in Funderland. The main rides people went on were 'Space Mountain', 'Indiana Jones' and Thunder Mountain'.

Paris Trip

Enjoy the break!

This has been an eventful year for St. Aidan's. We had a positive, affirmative report following the whole-school evaluation, a hugely successful sporting year and the mock exams are over and done with before the end of March.

Cross

We are now entering the home straight and hopefully every student will realise his full potential in the end of year exams. For students studying for state exams, set yourself achievable study targets for the Easter holidays and remain positive. Allow some time for recreation. To all 4 students, enjoy the Easter break ' and remain safe.
