William Rowan Hamilton, world famous mathematician was born in Dublin in 1805 and is best known for his work on the elements of Quartornions. Three St. Aidan's students, Wesley Hunter, Kevin Reilly and Joshua Tobin hope to follow in the footsteps of this well known Dubliner by solving difficult maths problems. The lads were invited to compete in the Irish Mathematics Olympiad and all three have reached the final twenty for the Dublin region. They are currently gearing up for the final exam to select the Irish team to compete in the International Mathematics Olympiad this summer.
If you see the three mathematicians in deep thought, don't break their concentration, they could be onto something big. Best of luck lads!
