Congratulations to Carl Fox who has been awarded Student Journalist of Year. Carl was presented with the award recently at a ceremony in Griffith College. The competition is organised by Griffith College in association with The Sunday Tribune. Carl is at present a first year student in Trinity College and won an Entrance Exhibition Award there last November. Congratulations also to Kevin Sheeky who came second in the competition.
The winning article was written for the school magazine in 2003 and will be published in The Sunday Tribune in May. Carl received a certificate and a cheque for €500 as his prize.
Also Carl's and Kevin's teachers deserve a special mention for their help, encouragement and support, and to Ms. Dunne in particular who entered them for the competition and who published the magazine in which the articles first appeared.
