10th of December in "The Helix" was a successful night for Dominican College, Belvedere and St. Aidan's Transition Year students. 64 couples performed to over a thousand audience members and every one of them was delighted after the show. Teachers from St. Aidan's were proud and happy after seeing talented Transition Year students from our school, and nobody asked for a refund!
The competition was great and we all gave the panel of judges a hard time. One of the special guests was Caroline Morahan from RTE's "Off the Rails", who judged the fashion and style of the dancers, won by Jordan Logue and Jenny Maguire.
We've been practising dancing (Latin American and Waltz) every Monday since 3rd of September. We've also been practising every Thursday and Saturday for the last 4 weeks before the show. It was great fun dancing with the girls and a good laugh. Everybody enjoyed dancing and we all wish to do it again...
My partner Fiona Barry and I won 1st Prize in the Advanced Latin American Dancing, and we also won the award voted by the audience.
